<description>"I strongly feel that to think of the teachings of the Bujinkan as a normal martial art, is to miss the point entirely. If not a normal martial art-then no way bound to the definition of what people to believe a martial art to be."

Hi! Greetings from Vilnius, Lithuania! First of all thanks for all your articles, for they are truly interesting, and sorry for my poor english :)

Let's distinguish martial arts from combat sports :) A combat sport is a set of techniques of methods and rules used in competitions of the given sport. And a martial art, in my personal belief, is something that knows no rules or boundarys in combat, even the field in which the combat takes place does not matter: it can be anything from a street fight, a war between nations, to politics or even business struggle. Thats why a martial art has to speak of the very essence, the principles, of combat. That's why, ninjutsu, as I see it, is the only true martial art. It's not about any specific techniques of taijutsu (although I tend to see some of those combat principles in some techniques), it's mostly about what is tought verbally by soke.

Keep going,

Deimantas.</description>
